About Ken Cimetta
Ken Cimetta has over forty years of experience under his belt. Working on National and Multi-national fortune 500 companies and smaller start up companies. Both art directing and executing campaigns as well a pioneering commercial aspects of the the internet.
Ken Cimetta the son of European Immigrants was born In New York in 1953.
He moved to South Florida with his parents in 1955 and spent his winters in Florida. Summers were spent just outside of Monticello New York on a 10,000 acre private estate where his parents were care takers for the summer. In 1968 he attended Chaminade high school and later with a passion for art attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
Before graduating he acquired a part time job and internship at a small advertising agency and worked on ads and brochures for mostly real estate developers. After graduation Ken went to work for TSI, a company which created and produced syndicated advertising programs for Banks and Car Dealerships. In just one short year Ken took over the art department as art director and not only worked on print advertising but also Television advertising campaigns by creating concepts and set designs.

In 1975 Ken began his own company named Art Directions. His first National account was Kid Stuff Records. Ken designed and illustrated hundreds of album covers for various children’s record albums and story books. Through the late seventies the company grew by doing work for several larger advertising agencies. His portfolio included work for Coca Cola, 7-up, Laura Scudder’s Potato Chips, Norwegian Cruise Lines, RJ Renolds and Tasco, . He acquired ESSO CCA an international division of Exxon Corporation which overseas marketing activities in 26 countries and helped them win two international marketing awards for best marketer two years in a row.
Ken had Esso as an account until 2000 when the corporation merged with mobile and re configured their marketing departments. Other works in his portfolio at that time include work preformed for Burger King Corporation, Laroc the Latin American Division for American Express, IPC, the buying cooperative for Subway, Kodak, Dow Chemical . He also did support work for agencies such as McCann Erickson, J Walter Thompson and Wunderman Kato Johnson. Ken took a year off in 2000 and started his present company Cimetta Design with his wife Cindy. In 2003 they took home first place awards Nationally and internationally for packaging done for a Pro Brands products Frosted Marshmallow and Toasted Marshmallow tanning foam. In 2004 Cimetta Design competed against 7 other design firms and won the Rural Signage Design project for the Town of Southwest Ranches Florida.
In 2005 Cimetta Design won first place for an embossed logo of the Town of Davie Florida. They’ve also developed several successful e-commerse start ups for themselves such as BlackandWhitesocks.com and RemoteHound.com. In 2008 Ken Cimetta was nominated and won the DAKOTA award as the best graphic designer in Florida.
Currently Ken and his company are serving businesses with an emphasis on Branding, Package Design and Web Design. In addition he is serving as director on the Southwest Ranches Arts Board.
